Lie - Shallou, Riah

I am a very big Indie fan, hearing “Lie” by Shallou and Riah made me so happy. This song is amazing lyrically and musically. They played with their lyrics and music in a way I haven't heard before and I am definitely in love with their technique.

I love the metaphors she uses and how her voice compliments the melody perfectly. This song was accompanied with a simple rhythm and beat but was still very unique, original and catchy. This song is about a girl who has had enough with her boyfriend who keeps lying to her and treating her wrong. I personally think a lot of people can relate to this song because being lied to and disappointed is a very common thing in every day life. They picked a very good subject to base this song on. I definitely recommend this song if you are going through a rough patch with a girl or boy, definitely a good break up song. I am definitely adding this song to my playlist.
